She glanced His way. That moment was all it took to remind her of His boundless love. Why does she allow herself to get caught up in the busyness of life? To be bombarded by the distractions of the season? Instead, now is the time to find peace in His presence. To think on His gift. To consider the wonder of all He has done.
Today she will pause and give Him praise. Today she will thank God for the gift of His Son – the Perfect One, the Holy Savior, the Babe in a Manger, and her Immanuel: JESUS.
Joy to the world! He is with us!
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS. ~ Matthew 1:23-24
