The wounds in His hands and feet, and the scars on His back, were not for some other sinner. The crown of thorns that pierced His scalp, and the robe meant only to mock, were not for some other transgressor. Jesus Christ endured the cross for HER. The blood He shed was for her sin and her redemption. Yes, He died for whosoever will … but that included her! What an intimate sacrifice. What an intimate love. What an intimate victory. She will forever praise His Holy Name. The Lamb of God has prevailed! The Lord has made a way! Thank you, Jesus.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. (Romans 5:8-9)
