Though unbelievers may shake their fist and cry out, “There is no God,” the woman warrior for Christ knows they are deceived. Today, she will pray for the blind, the brokenhearted, and the bound. She will call forth the prodigal in her prayers and make mention of those who shun the Name above all names. She knows that now is not a time to turn away from the message of the Cross. Now is not a time to harden a heart. Now is the time to boldly confess, “Yes, Lord … I believe!” Amen.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:18-19)
