This month, let us pray for caregivers. They fill a vital and compassionate role in this fallen world, and in the body of Christ.
Caregivers are family members, church members, neighbors, friends, home health aides, CNAs, nurses, and more. The roles are often demanding on multiple levels and it is only through the power of prayer and God’s grace that many continue to fulfill their role.
Father God, we ask that you pour out your grace on all caregivers. We pray for even greater strength, peace and perseverance—that they will sense and feel your presence and your anointing. We pray you will remind these caregivers that they are not alone and send encouragers into their lives. We pray that you pour out increased stamina and the kindness of our Savior—that they will not grow weary in well doing but continue to serve as ambassadors of your love and compassion. Most of all, we pray for caregivers to sense and know that they are loved and appreciated for their unselfish giving. Touch them, Father God. For it is in Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
Let us not take these individuals for granted, trusting that they hold a special place in the heart of the Father. Bless a caregiver today through word or deed.
