Now is not the time to say, “I told you so.” Pride is a poison and comes with a price. It cost Samson his eyes. Nebuchadnezzar his mind. Adam and Eve their life. And Lucifer his eternity. The woman warrior for Christ will wear the garland of humility with a grateful heart. She will remember that it is only by the grace of God that her eyes see what she could not see before. She will pray for those who mock and show disdain, knowing that their pride is their destruction. Today is not the day to say, “I told you so.” Today is the day to bow her head in prayer and remember that her life on this earth is but a vapor in the hand of an eternal God. She will walk in humility.
And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12)
