There is a place of sweet surrender—where peace reigns and grace flows. The woman warrior for Christ knows that life never stops making demands. There will always be appointments to keep and chores to complete. And yet, neither will she allow the cares of this world to consume her soul and devour her joy. When life gets hectic, and time is hard to hold, she will remind herself yet again that one thing is needful. She will take a deep breath. She will sit at His feet. She will linger in His presence. And she will know that Jesus is Lord. It’s His strength that lets her face another day. Where else would she turn?
But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (John 6:68-69)
